Online Safety

Internet Safety

It is incredibly important for parents to learn about how children use the internet.  Paul Hay, an internet safety expert, delivered Internet Safety training to parents, staff and children in 2018.  The focus of the day was behaviours, when using the internet, and Paul centred his sessions around four main tips that we need to remember (Sid's Top Tips):

Top Tip 1: People you don't know are strangers.  They're not always who they say they are

Top Tip 2: Be nice to people on the computer like you would in the playground

Top Tip 3: Keep your personal information private

Top Tip 4: If you ever get that 'uh oh' feeling, your should tell a grown up that you trust
